"The picture that I took was a picture of my cousin doing a kick flip off a little wooden box. I took this picture because it seemed like the right photo to take and tie into the theme of participate. Skating is one of my hobbies and I wanted to see if I could capture someone mid-air on a skateboard. I took this picture with my phone camera around noon. I used Photoshop a little bit just to crop it and turn it black and white. I feel like the timing was pretty good, and I did not get too much movement in the picture.
This photo ties in with the theme of participate because skateboarding is a very hard sport and you need to have good coordination. What I am basically saying is that participating is a factor in skateboarding. Participating is important in every team sport but also in skateboarding. This is why I took a picture of skateboarding, and these are the reasons that skateboarding ties in with the theme of participate."

During ski week, I went to Big Bear and noticed that if you really take a look around, everything you do is participating in one thing or another. As you can tell by the collage of pictures I put together, I participated in the snow activities. I took this photo in Big Bear Lake. at 7:31 AM. I took this picture right as I woke up and saw the aftermath of one of the biggest snowstorms to hit Big Bear Lake this season. This can relate to the theme of participation since I woke up at 7:30 to take a picture same as my mom and my brother.

As a Scout leader, I decided to take a group of young kids, that are working to get Eagle Scouts, to Mammoth where we were able to complete our Snow Sport Merit Badge. I took this picture because while I was working on my Snow Sport Merit Badge, I was completing an Architecture Merit Badge, and I took this picture because it was a requirement for the Merit Badge. When I grow up, I want to be an architect so this picture shows that your designs need to be perfect so it can stand through any weather condition.

With the big snow season this year in Big Bear and Mammoth my family and I made a road trip for the day. While visiting Idyllwild and Big Bear Lake, my sister and I participated in many snow activities. This photo was taken on a dirt mountain road right after snow had just hit Idyllwild.

Unknowingly, all who saw this partook and experienced SpaceX's launch of the Argentine satellite and its rocket from Vandenburg Air Force Base.
