This is a picture of my cousin and I participating in a game of knockout on a cloudy, Sunday afternoon. The game was played at my aunt and uncle's house. We decided to get outdoors and play one of her favorite games; she ended up winning. We had so much fun playing that we decided to play another round. I took several pictures, and with a bit of editing, I chose this one as my favorite.

I took this photograph with an iPhone 7 plus while I was at a Billie Eilish concert. She was singing my favorite song when I decided to capture the perfect moment. The crowd was filled with people singing along to the music. It was hard to take this picture because of everyone going wild, but I still managed to take the perfect shot. That day was the best day of my life and I was able to capture the best memories, like this one
The word participate means to take part in something. My photograph relates to the word participate because the artist is participating in sharing her music with the world. She is care free and just wants to make inspirational music for everyone. Her songs are upbeat and depressing, but that is why so many teens like her. She is participating in sharing her amazing music with the world. That is why I decided to take this picture.

When I went to the Santa Monica Pier, I was pleased to find so many different people engaging with their surroundings. Everywhere I looked people were participating in different activities from flying a kite to fishing off the pier to blowing bubbles. It was so fulfilling just standing on the pier and capturing the activities of the lively people with my camera.

This picture is significant to me because I view my extended family like this asparagus. We always are busy with school, work, and other things that get in the way. But on Thanksgiving, we are bound together. I captured this picture to represent the black and white truth of our situation.

This picture shows most of my brother's and my achievements from participating in Cub Scouts. We will earn even more while in Boy Scouts! I joined Cub Scouts at the age of 6, and I am now 10 years old and am in Boy Scouts. I was very active and I attended lots of events. At some of the events, I earned awards. But a lot of what you see in my shadow box are the patches and pins that I earned advancing through the program. My favorite one is the shooting sports patch (the blue shield shaped one with the bear and target) because I got to practice using slingshots and bb guns as well as try archery.

The photo was taken on opening day for the baseball league. My photo relates to the theme of "participation" by showing both the pitcher and the batter of the opposing team. I tried to capture the moment just after the batter connected with the ball. I moved right up to the chain-link fence so the links would not show up in the photograph.

The photo was taken on a boat tour (from the boat) in Paris, France. It relates to the 'Participate' theme because the photo was taken in an effort to participate in a separate local school photo contest back home. It worked out well and so I have decided to use that same photo for this contest.

When I see this, it reminds me of participation because it took a lot of help and people to build a very,very,very tall pyramid. It takes a lot of people to build the homes and the temples. It takes a lot of people and participation to bring in the mats and build the inside.
