I normally see people playing sports in the school quad, having fun, and overall having a great time. When I try to participate in activities, they try to make me feel not included. I just sat at a wall and was sad for not being able to participate. I always hoped to be to be included but normally I am not. I tried to convey what I always hoped would happen and that someone would try to let that person be a part of whatever they were doing. Naturally this picture was taken at school where I felt that being excluded was something that just happened because it seemed appropriate.

You may be wondering why bees would relate with “Participate”. Well, bees participate a lot in their colony from collecting the honey to providing aid to their queen. In the picture, you can see the bees putting the honey into the honeycombs at the exhibition. They are participating in their colony. This picture was taken at a kids museum. The bees were located in a glass exhibition with a tube connecting to the outside for the bees to participate in their colony. This is my 2nd year participating in the California Streaming Contest and enjoy it very much.

With this tour group, my father and I hiked through the torii gates and into the forests of Japan, learning about the religions, cultures, and ecosystems of Japan. By participating in this journey, my father and I became enriched with Japanese culture and gained a new found respect for the gorgeous country.

On January 1, 2019, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses threw its 130th parade with tons of floats, school and university bands, horses, and loads of joy! Due to the Rose Bowl Game, Washington University and Ohio State participated in the fun with their own float loaded with cheerleaders and accompanied by their band.

This photograph was taken at a concert venue in Southern California at a farewell concert for a band that my sister and I have followed for many years. We participated in a shared experience every time we saw the band perform and every time we listened to their music. Music can create a memorable space that is effected by the participation of the audience. If the audience does not participate the whole experience is negatively affected. Some nights, like this one, will always be a strong memory for all who participated because of the love for the band shared by everyone in the venue.
