This photo was taken on a hot summer day at Castaic Lake. My friend and I decided to wake up at 4am to catch the sunrise at the lake and spend the rest of the evening out there. We swam in the lake and did some light fishing. Afterwards we got some lunch and headed home. This relates to the theme of adventure by us going on a fun excursion for the day and getting outside to do something abnormal from the day to day.
4am Wake Up Call

Get up, there are sharks in the sea, she told me. I thought she was really silly, and I wished my imagination was more like that of a child. I told her that I couldn't since I was a fish. She called herself Scally the pirate, and I reasoned that a child's imagination is full of possibilities for adventure. Until you imagine it, it's not a true adventure. Therefore, in keeping with the contest's "Adventure" theme, I made the decision to snap a picture of her in her treehouse—that is, her pirate ship.

Stepping into a restaurant is an adventure. You are greeted with dancing smells, lights, and colors. Your woes can melt away as you enjoy your meal with the people around you. The aromas, colors, and people build a new community. You leave a restaurant a changed person, you journey through a new experience, a new community, and grow.

Just as a rider on the rollercoaster can't predict every twist, turn, and drop, an adventurer embraces the unexpected experience that comes along the way.

Whether it’s something minuscule or major has no importance. Making you way to that very spot to shoot and wondering if it’s going in is an adventure.

Once upon a time, there lived a block on the streets. Lots of people went there for small adventures. It was lovely there! But one person did not like the block! That person was ISABELLA! Everyone HATED her. Because other people throught it was rude to hate the block that didn't do anything to you.
One day a super hero came. She asked Isabella why she hated the block. She said that one day her best friend Sally was playing at the park. Then the wind pushed her in the streets and a car ran OVER HER! And then the superhero asked her to be her friend. She said, "YES!" After that she had a friend again and she LOVED the BLOCK!!! Everyone didn't hate her anymore.
