I was exiting Dodger Stadium and saw this view. It reminded me that there is always an adventure no matter the time of day in Los Angeles.

There are so many cool places to explore. Many of those cool places have beautiful ducks. The ducks are found in many fun places, like lakes, creeks, and ponds. Their beautiful colors are always different. Ducks remind me of all the places we need to go.

The photo was taken in a neighborhood in Mexico and the teddy bear was dumped in a field filled with trash. This image takes on the interpretation of discarded memories and the adventure that comes with it. The teddy bear symbolizes the loss innocence of one's life and how certain choices can lead to new experiences.

The world is full of endless possibilities waiting to be explored. From scaling the tallest mountains to diving into the ocean's depths or simply enjoying a serene evening at a park, nature offers limitless opportunities for adventure seekers. The natural world is home to a diverse range of wildlife, each with its unique experience of excitement and exploration in the wild. Whether it's a lion stalking its prey in the arid savannas of Africa, a grand eagle soaring high above the mountains, or a pair of ducks enjoying their peaceful evening as the sun sets, every being including animals has its own story to tell.

The photo was taken at the Mazatlan Fest at the Santa Fe Springs Swamp Meet during a performance by Banda El Recodo. They were performing, "El Sinaloense" which is an iconic and well loved song by many Mexicans. This photograph relates to the theme of adventure as you feel many exciting emotions and come across many types of people at a concert.

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Nature is the crown jewel of this planet, and is often forgotten about with our modern technology today. With everyone buried in their phones, computers, and tablets, it can be difficult to take a few minutes outdoors and realize how much an adventure there is outside of electronics. From the wonders of the national parks to the uncharted wilderness, you can find adventure anywhere in nature, even if you just simply take a single step out into your very own backyard.

This photograph relates to this years theme "adventure' in numerous ways. The first being the way the railroad hasn't been used in years makes it vacant aka safe for the public to visit. Making this once unsafe railroad a fun adventure to follow as it leads down a path no one knows.

Looking through batches of photos from Ocean Beach and outings with my kids reminds me of the adventures from my youth. The pure moments of ecstasy when we were all focused on the fun and ignored the passage of time. I still experience these moments with my kids on a daily basis and spend most of our time together outdoors.

Escape is not only literal but mental for my kids in this photo. Like all kids, my children escape into a world of sensation and fantasy when they play. This photo depicts the incoming tide which is a symbol of time moving closer and closer. To escape from reality is to envision the spirit of adventure.......to embody our youth and embark.

This was a difficult piece to narrow down due to the scope of the shots I searched. My kids are so active and have so many examples of this theme that surface throughout my photography. It brought me closer to the them and was a recap of all the joyous times we have shared as a family together.

After many days of rain, the sun came out. What a great day for an adventure. We washed out hands and the paper towels ran out. We grabbed a snack and were about to throw away the empty paper towel roll when a great idea came up. Someone decided that the empty paper towel tube would make a great telescope. So we took it on our adventure outside.

We were very lucky to find hundreds of dandelions in the field. After running all around and using his tube to spy the dandelions, my little friend decided to have a rest. While he was sitting in the middle of all the dandelions, his adventure turned into a baseball game and the tube suddenly became a bat. It was a great day!

Over the summer I went on a school sponsored trip to France, which was exciting to me because it was the first time I had traveled without my parents. With no parents to watch over what I was doing, I had to learn to make better decisions and carefully plan both my actions and activities.

One day, a group of students and I were out by the dock of a local village to take a group photo when suddenly it started pouring rain. It was as if the sky had unleashed the full force of the ocean on us, we all screamed and ran for cover but unluckily were caught in the midst of it. By some miracle we all huddled underneath the small roof of an old bus stop to wait it out while we all laughed at the new adventure we had experienced.

The rain, finally having stopped, we ventured back towards the town where we saw this massive old fashioned styled building with beautiful architecture. To commemorate our moment in the rain I raised my incredibly soaked phone, and snapped a picture of it. That picture became the definition of adventure to me because it was an experience I had never felt before and it was something that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forget. All the fun and fear wrapped in one, I’m glad that adventure doesn’t stay hidden in my life, and this picture is a reminder to me that everything is as adventurous as you make it.

The photo was taken in Switzerland as I was walking and trying to find unique things that piqued my interest. I noticed that these two modes of transportation showed how times have changed and that motor vehicles are now used instead. This picture relates to Adventure as most people use vehicles to travel to different places in order to venture beyond. I wanted to show that people can address adventure through cycling to different places to riding a vespa with an engine to a farther destination as it requires less work. This is meant to show that venturing to new places has become more efficient as it allows someone to travel from point A to point B much faster.

I took this photo while I was hiking with friends near Adobe Falls. We had fun and this photo was my favorite because my friends were in it. You can tell we were all having fun. I also like black and white photography
