Humans have unlimited imagination, but we can only do so much. We have the itch to make new things that we can never satisfy. We innovate new ways of innovation so that we can innovate even more creatively. Skyscrapers are only the beginning. Hundreds of years from now, humans will be able to create things that we never thought possible.

The innovative ideas of humans, such as cranes, have helped us in different ways. However, it can affect the environment, but nature can also come up with a new method of growing and persevering.

My photo was taken in an area where there was good lighting and good environmental places. My photo relates to innovation by replacing memory's that are fading away. Something to know about my photos is that we create new memories because most memories, they never last. Another one is have the best time you're having as you don't live long. The innovation within the photo are creating new ideas to bring the elements out.

I have been 3D printing since age 9 - everything from keychains to Marvel characters to birthday party favors! During COVID, I began volunteering for e-NABLE - a nonprofit organization that provides 3D printed prosthetics for people born with hand and arm deformities.
I love seeing kids' smiles when they can bike, jump rope, and grab objects with the customized prosthetics I build! A typical medical prosthetic can cost thousands of dollars, but e-NABLE takes a simple concept - 3D printing - and helps people around the world through their volunteer network. To me, that's innovation at its best!
I took this photograph at home, where I perform the majority of my 3D printing and assembling. I set up the camera, angled carefully, then took the photograph using a timer.

The photo was taken at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. This photograph relates to this year's "Innovation" theme because the Observatory is known for its exploratory nature and the impact it has on modern innovation is huge. The Griffith Observatory is a way for visitors to visit space, but stay on Earth. The Observatory is an innovative way for people to explore space through telescopes, exhibitions, and more!
I took the photo using a FujiFilm and edited in Adobe Lightroom.

The photo was taken by the hill near the gym of my school. I chose this location because it was a slope so I would be able to fit more of images of me into the photo without blocking myself. This relates to the contest because it's unique in the way that I'm watching myself fade away. Innovation to me is something that isn't normally done before.

This photo was taken at my house on a rainy day. It shows innovation because the rain helps the flower to grow and progress. It helps to being out its true colors, size and beauty.

My photograph; A Spark, was taken in my living room. The theme was innovation so I felt like holding a match would symbolize a spark in new ideas. You need to act upon new ideas before the flame runs out. Ideas are like a match, if you wait too long you can miss your opportunity to make your innovative idea come to fruition.

This picture was taken in my home using a tesla coil I received as a gift from my dad. In this photo, a finger is reaching out and touching multiple lightning bolts being released by a tesla coil.
Innovation in technology has sparked the creation of countless things that people long ago would never have dreamed of being a reality. This photo highlights how a natural phenomenon such as lightning has been understood through science and controlled to create things like tesla coils, which would have seemed like magic to people long ago.
Through innovation like this, advances in science have led to a better understanding of our universe, leading to progress in medicines, technology, and other inventions which have helped improve quality of life and boosted our overall knowledge of the universe and the world we live in.

When you think of a tool what do you think of? A hammer, a saw, maybe a screwdriver - well I’m pretty sure you don’t think about a wrench. The wrench is one of the most useful and important tools in modern society. Without this single tool we would not be driving cars with combustion engines, and we wouldn’t be using appliances like gas powered stoves. The point is that the wrench might be a little more boring than a hammer or a little less popular than the screwdriver, but when it comes down to it, it has changed the world, and it has paved the path to a future I am sure no one imagined.

This photograph was from when I went on a cruise some months ago. The photo was taken while the cruise ship was leaving port, setting sail to the beautiful ocean. Let me tell you, while on the ship I was terrified. It was my very first time on a cruise ship, and the weather wasn't the best at most times. The ship was swaying slowly side to side with the wind and rain, and that didn't help my mindset of going on a cruise in the first place.
My family and I were on the cruise ship for five days, and in those days, I've changed. I never wanted to go on a cruise in the first place because I was afraid to try something new from the places where we usually go, and in the end, it was a great experience.
My photo relates to the theme "Innovations" because it represents the change of my mindset by going on this trip. Trying new things and having a first time for stuff is a part of change. How would you know what something is or is like if you've never even tried it. Change is a part of life and is important. I hope this can inspire others to change and go with something different rather than stick to the same things you're usually used to.

What role will this robot have? It could be a babysitter, a driver, a soldier, or a chef. Merely another example of the human drive to develop shortcuts and solutions to life’s difficulties, the robot’s only limit is our lack of innovation.

The innovation I chose was the Palm Springs Aerial Tram because I saw how amazing it was when I rode it during Christmas break. The tram is the biggest 360 degree rotating aerial tram in the world. The innovative design can carry up to 80 people and has a rotating floor inside that lets everybody see all of the views, like Mount San Jacinto and the Coachella Valley. The tram travels about 2.5 miles from the bottom to the top station in about 10 minutes. There are 5 towers that we passed through during the ride that caused the tram to dip, which made it seem like we were on a roller coaster. It was exciting to be on such an innovative ride!

This photo was taken at the Getty Villa, a historic museum that utilized ancient architectural designs, such as the Corinthian Columns to design the entirety of this mansion/villa, personally owned by a rich Greek individual. Furthermore, this photo is related to "innovation" because it shows the architectural innovation and masterpiece that was utilized to create this villa and convert it into a museum for historical, Greek, Roman, and Egyptian artifacts. Almost everything in this villa is designed under ancient architectural designs, patterns, and materials. Many plants, mostly prevalent in Greek society back then, are also used in the architectural designs of this villa, thus representing the antiquity and the innovative experience that we experienced while there.

Throughout time, humans have lived on earth - for millions of years now. We have continued to advance and proceed with innovation. However, have these advancements gone too far? Artificial sunlight? Chemicals in our food? A.I.? These things are certainly useful for our everyday lives, but will they be so useful in the future?
Society keeps thinking more about being the best and making our life easier that we often forget about the thing that led us there in the first place: nature. We have used innovation to fix the most complex problems that we forgot how to fix one problem. Now we have to use innovation to fix the simplest problem; that is what real innovation is.

With every new design to an existing item, it gets more complicated. From something so simple as the wheel, it will forever get complicated as time progresses.

This photo illustrates the fine line that separates civilization from pure nature. The image shows mountains in the background with the main focus being cars in motion. This image demonstrates the balance between development and pure nature. This is because while the main focus of the image are the cars driving by, there are clear mountains in the background and trees everywhere.
