This photo was taken in Kyoto, Japan. On this trip to Japan, my father and I were part of a tour group participating in an educational and awe-inspiring journey through the northeast Asian country. With this tour group, my father and I hiked through the torii gates and into the forests of Japan, learning about the religions, cultures, and ecosystems of Japan. By participating in this journey, my father and I became enriched with Japanese culture and gained a new found respect for the gorgeous country.
