This photo was taken at my high school's track during a sunset this winter, as I was practicing sprints with a friend and fellow runner. Track to me is an adventure because of the places it takes you and the ways in which it makes me push myself every day; it shows me how hard work materializes and gives me a way to bond with friends. In a more literal sense, running shows me new parts of the world when I go on community runs or find a new trail to run on. The sport is close to my heart and makes me feel like I'm on an adventure of self-improvement.

It's a beautiful place that many who pass, tend to stop and often embrace while on their own journeys.
I call this place the Traverse, it's my nickname for it since it's a large place that many travel through while on their own adventures.
