Here age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. To the naked eye this lamppost may seem simple and ordinary, something you would see on a daily basis and never think twice about. But to me it is more. In the background of this picture you can see houses and a neighborhood. These houses were built from the ground up, and all those people helped each other through it. This is the same with the lamppost. Even the electricity that runs through it to give us the light to keep us safe is shown in this image. One of the bigger things in this picture that I believe is the graffiti along the pole. Although it isn’t all that noticeable, it still shows something. It shows all the people that came together, throughout the ages, to do something like this. Although these people may not have known it, they all have come together and they created something unique, where they all get to participate.

I took this photo in photography class at my school. I used this photo because I felt as if they were all participating in making each other laugh. I had taken this photo at the end of the school day yet my friends were still able to participate in making each other laugh. They had all climbed up on a lunch table and started cracking jokes. My friends and I had fun taking this photo and I’m glad I participated in this project.
I feel that this photo ties together with the theme of participation because they had all participated in making each other laugh, and they are all great friends.

She became inspired through my running, so she has also come to love running. While we ran, we both wanted to invite others so we can begin a legacy! As I capture this photo we are both so involved with many activites and getting active. To show people running can be for anything and escape, stress relief, or just to run for fun. Running is one step to getting to participate in any event.
