The pandemic definitely greatly affected everyone and this was an image of how we recovered from the quarantining period. It demonstrates how we are slowly and cautiously returning to pre-pandemic norms. This photo was taken at a restaurant and it was one of the first restaurants that we had visited and dined in. But it represents how things were slowly improving and how we were resilient and returned back to our lives despite all the difficulties of Covid-19.

I chose this photo because these barnacles are incredibly sturdy and resilient. I found them in an area that’s too high and doesn’t get enough water for this species to survive normally, but this cluster of barnacles managed to thrive there anyway.

Resilience defies the impossible. Things that do not make sense are proven to be possible. This picture was taken in our old, dried-up garden. It's been years since we've planted anything, and the dirt has dried up. There is no way anything would be able to grow in this hard, dried-up dirt filled with stones. This picture shows life in an environment where you would not expect anything to survive. I thought this picture was interesting with the green leaves against the dried-up ground. It shows how these plants are tough and resilient. I cannot wait to see what they grow to be.

I was walking with my friend during break and I noticed that there a plant inside a plant pot in the heavy rain, and I thought to myself that it is an example of "Resilience" because despite the heavy rain and wind, this plant will continue to grow stronger than it was before.

I was walking with my mom in my neighborhood and I noticed a rainbow had formed around the sun. I asked my mom to put her hand up to block the sun so I could see the rainbow and take a picture. The pandemic was rough and the photo reminds me that my mom is always there for me.
