This photo reminded me of a phenomena because the colors and arrangement of the sunset along with the moon in the background looks like an image from outer space, or a photo taken from the surface of another planet.

I had the idea to take this picture thinking of how the flower came to be something so beautiful with all those different colors, shades and textures when it all started as a simple little seed. This is a gigantic phenomenon!

The chair is very grand, so it uses about six parking spaces in a parking lot for the building. This photo captures the theme phenomena because most people don't usually see 40-foot tall chairs in a parking lot. It's an extraordinary sight to observe. It's a very exclusive and unique sight because the mahogany wood gives the chair a more natural and rustic look. In this photo, I used the rule of thirds to capture the essence and beauty of the chair. Framing it so that the chair is the center of the photo and the cars beside it are proportional to its position. I also used lines to capture the movement and texture of the chair.

This summer I took the most amazing trip to Alaska. I went to Juneau, Alaska and went on the Mendenhall Glacier. This amazing glacier is a phenomenon. A phenomenon is a fact or situation that is observed, explained, and questioned. This glacier represents a phenomenon because it is so beautiful and historic. The glaciers are very old and show a lot of phenomena with their age and beauty. I had a great experience in Alaska and am so glad to have seen this amazing phenomena before it is gone.

I see living things, no matter how small, as single and individual phenomena with overseen details that are taken for granted. The shimmer of the cat's eyes are the brightest feature of the subject in the photo and are drawn into focus on top of stairs that are each about the same size as the cat itself. The photo was taken from the basement looking up at the white cat that rarely stays still and or indoors, and catches the cats attention with a flash. The rarity of a simple event made me feel uneasy with uncertainty as to if it was an omen for something good or bad to come.

This ultra close-up photograph was taken at school of an ‘unknown’ subject.

I feel my photograph may bring many questions to ones’ mind, but it might not bring one final thought, at least right away. I think my picture asks more questions than it answers.

I took this photo of a crystal ball to show the phenomena of light refraction. The process of taking this photo included pouring water on the ground to create a reflective surface, waiting until sunset for the colors to be present, and finally placing the crystal ball in the water to create the image you see. I set my camera settings to a wide aperture to create bokeh.

The wondrous beauty of the small intricacies produced from nature are the ultimate phenomena.

In my photo you are seeing through the eyes of a snowboarder wearing goggles that filter light. I thought it would be cool to take a picture through my goggles to create my own phenomena.

This photo fits the word “phenomenon” in that the patterns flow together, creating a larger, fuller, picture. The combination of the shapes and the cold color make the image feel like something out of this world, and maybe something alien!

In this image, I used the rule of thirds, color, lines, shape and simplicity. The slot on the side in which I took the picture on divided the image into 3 parts, drawing your eye towards the center. The plain grey color gives it a cold, almost alien feel. The majority of the lines in this photo are either parallel or perpendicular, adding to the alien feeling. Along with that, the only noticeable shape is a rectangle, making this a simple piece of art that can talk to people.

My girlfriend and I were laying out in the football field during lunch when we came across a green ladybug. How often do you see a green ladybug? This is a really cool Phenomena, I think it is green to help it blend in with the grass.

In between the three buildings from my school, there is a big quad with some small lunch tables. As I was walking down from there, I noticed this garden weed plant growing in between two concrete tiles. I found it fascinating how a plant cold grow in such a condition. For me this phenomenon is inspiring because, it shows how a person has the potential to grow regardless of all the things life puts on them. I find this phenomenon ground breaking (pun intended) and this picture as a reminder to myself that it is possible to grow as a being, even if you are trapped behind concrete tiles.

This photo was taken in a classroom with the lights turned off. The resources used were light from a lamp and a reflector to bounce the light. A phenomenon is a fact or event of something mysterious or observational. This photo represents a half moon that occurs when the moon is at a 90 degree angle to the earth and sun. This sets a mysterious mood. This photo could also be interpreted as a self-portrait. The use of light sort of sets two moods. A bright mood and a depressed mood. Hope you like the photo!
Honorable Mention
My pet, this little dog, does not know the meaning of no. This is an example of an unusual phenomenon of a trained dog that refuses to learn the word "No".
Honorable Mention
This photograph tells a story about who I am in which you will see in the photo my marked heights on the wall. This represents all the things I’ve been through and all the memories I have from when I was a small child to a teenager.

Her freckles
Worth more than any amount of shekels.
Her beauty beyond description.
Her admirable strength through afflictions.
Her heart so full of love and hope
As she dreams for a successful future without a single mope.
The eagerness in her eyes
Creates a belly full of butterflies
In those that love her.
Her love towards others
Is one like no other.
Her unique physique
Is worth far more than any antique.
Her freckles
Just as the stars of the night skies
Makes her even more wise.

This photo was taken in front of a neighborhood tree.
This photograph personally represents the word "phenomena" because my model is such a unique individual in her positivity as well as her physical beauty. Her freckles are unique to her and help to make her different from many other people in the world. Her kindness and her selfless actions are unlike anything or anyone I have ever met or seen before. Her strength to endure through even the most difficult situations is what ultimately makes her an excellent example of someone that is phenomenal.

I like to take pictures that aren’t easy to understand. It lets the viewer decide what it is.

The photo was taken in the makeshift classroom studio. I would say it relates to phenomena because of the expression on the guy's face. The context around the imagine is a boy who is wandering around and comes across a mysterious chalice like object. He doesn't know why he feels this way but he feels like the cup is connected to his destiny.
Honorable Mention
I saw a hummingbird exploring a tree nearby. To take this photo I had to balance myself on the edge of a fountain to get the perfect angle so the branches of the tree wouldn't block the small bird. Known as one of the smallest species of bird that fly so fast, this photo was very hard to capture.
Honorable Mention
The flames grew in size when we dumped lighter fluid on them
The burning wood shrunk
Becoming older and older
Like the fire was coming close to an end
The flames changed to blue
As if they were going out
Or getting cold
The fire must be old
