Adventure is about all of our little hardships and the path we take to get there. Our path is never ever clear cut, winding and twisting in ways that sometimes, feels impossible. But it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try because well, where’s the adventure in that? It's time to pick it up running.

I took this photo in my hometown of Sanger, California. Sanger is a small town, home to 26,000 people. I took this on one of the town's busiest streets. This street is full of restaurants, small shops, and gas stations, which is right around the corner from downtown. On a night walk through Sanger, I took a camera and a tripod and was ready for inspiration to hit. The street filled with lights inspired me and caught my attention; there was so much color. Everything looked so vibrant in the dark. I thought it was so cool how different things looked at night. Sanger is full of adventure. We have the Blossom Trail; we are the Nature's Christmas Tree City, and our small town is so full of life. I wanted my photo to bring attention to the adventurous city that it is, surrounded by mountains and valleys, fields and blossoms, rivers and wildlife. Sanger is a beautiful city full of adventure, and it's my city.

I was doing yard work getting ready to go to the mall and I looked towards the mountains as I was leaving. My first instinct was to grab my ladder and hop on top of my roof to get the best angle from where I was. That was an adventure in itself. Although I was incredibly far away from the mountain I feel like I captured most of the beauty of it within the confines of my limited view space.

Dogs are curious animals that are super hyper; this one is no different. Being that he has the freedom to run around Kings River with his owner, he doesn’t waste a second speeding across the trees and grass. I saw the sun starting to set, so I had my mom watch the streets so I could take my photo. I called my sister outside because I felt that she'd fit my photograph the best. She always likes to take adventures no matter the risk. This photo was taken in the street of my front yard. My photo relates to this year's theme "Adventure" because you step into your own path of adventure. If you follow the road, you don't know what kind of adventure it holds for you. Where would it take you? What would I experience? Every pair of shoes hold their own special kind of adventure. If you put on a pair of dance shoes, you'll step into an adventure of many genres, and you don't know when the path could end. No matter what shoes you wear, they hold a special, one-of-a-kind adventure. So, in the end, keep following the path that your shoes lead you to because you'll end up with an adventure in the end of it.
