This photo was taken at school during a softball game. The photograph relates to this year's theme because in every sport you're required to participate. It just shows the passion in the sport. The picture is of my friend, Lexi, who is very passionate and loves to participate in softball.

This photo was taken in Croatia. Rather than participating, this photo represents what can happen as a result of participating. The possibilities are endless and the future is bright. There is a window standing in front of us all and it is our choice to open it. Every time we participate, that window opens up an inch more until it is fully wide open with chances and opportunities flooding through.

The photo was taken in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was there with my dad visiting some family friends. This relates to the theme "participate" because my dad was taking partaking in a fun snow day. Instead of staying indoors near the fireplace he adventured outside in the nature to play with snow.

My brothers are in the Army, They participate in serving our Country and to keep our freedom. They do a lot of community service in places that have natural disasters, like hurricanes, earthquakes and even guarding our Country borderline. They travel to places where they are needed. My big brothers do a lot for their/our country as well to serve and protect it.

The photo was taken during an elective class. This photo relates to the theme because of the display of two students working together for their class. They are participating in an effort of getting their work done and simply just working on an assignment. Both are working hard on their assignment for their teacher.

This is a picture of the leaves my grandma collected to make a wreath. She took them to her house and put the wreath on her door. We participated in a wonderful family time and with nature.

This was my first Pow Wow that I have participated in. It was amazing to see all ages and tribes from across the United States enjoying the Pow Wow and participating in many games and dance competitions. Everyone was so welcoming and inclusive towards each other. The colors and dances were my favorite to photograph. You can see his entry number on his left sleeve.
