On a very early Monday morning, 12 of my students and I flew to Washington D.C. on a World's Stride Tour. We landed in Virginia investigated along the shores of Jamestown. We witnessed the actual art of glassblowing; the first cottage industry in the new world. We looked up into the sky and gladly mistook Osprey for the American Bald Eagle. We explored Williamsburg, Virginia and took in the sights and sounds that were experienced by the first colonist.

Our trip continued into D.C. where we kept turning the pages of our history books tip toeing along our Nation’s Capital. We walked under the Cherry Blossoms of the trees that outlined the Potomac River and visited the endless Monuments that told of our Nation’s History. Our Investigation was an actual living and breathing one in true life. It was a trip of a life time!
