This photo is of a rose bush in my front yard. Early one morning, I was sitting on my porch, basking in the glory of the bright sun melting away the recently fallen snow. The warmth of the sun makes this spot my favorite. Most of my yard is viewed from this spot also. This rose bush protrudes out over my porch, and is inevitable to run into. I shot this photo as the rose bush was investigating my porch during the defrosting of the earth that morning. The sunbeam became a magnificent bonus, contrasting the thorn placed immediately adjacent, bringing a sense of balance and enlightenment to the photo.
