This photograph was taken in the open ocean as my friends and I enjoyed an event early in the morning. We participated in multiple activities during this event, one of them being surfing. This photograph relates to this year's theme "Participate" because when we attend to events, with friends especially, and are willing to participate in activities, everyone feels joy and happiness - something that my photograph exposes. Riding along is what we should all do, not just when participating but in life, too, when it gets hard.
