Description:
The photo was taken in my back yard in the afternoon. I was experimenting on how to take close ups with things I could not see from far away with my dad's phone because I don't have a camera. I chose to take a picture of flowers that I grew from seeds with my dad. What appeared to be a tiny red spider on my flowers was actually a spider mite. After some research, I found out the tiny red spiders on my flowers were called spider mites that are actually pests.

This ties into the theme "Participate" because these mites actually can help pollinate while they eat through the flowers. They don't know it but they help the flowers grow and carry pollen from other flowers. I was able to capture a tiny spider mite participating in pollination.
