Some hounds, even after hours upon hours of training, are not fit for tracking animals. But, no matter their current skill, they need to build experiences and learn from their previous mistakes. This dog, one of the many other hounds in its pack for tracking mountain lions, can be considered in its prime. However, after cornering one lion recently to be darted with a tranquilizer, the hound was nicked by the lion's paw and nearly lost its eye in the process. After this ordeal, the dog learned to keep a greater distance from the animal they're tracking and itself. Its resilience was the ability to grow from past experiences instead of being scared or repeating the same mistake.
