The car has come a long way in the last 100 years. To the early automotive pioneers, a flagship supercar like a McLaren 720s may look out of this world. The fundamental idea of a car as we know it is changing.

However, as we look into the future, what we once saw as the pinnacle of innovation may look like a relic of the past. I looked to explore this idea by making the image look as though it was taken decades ago. The sunset in the image represents the imminent end of development for the internal combustion engine.
