This photo was taken in the dressing room of a ballet competition. I took this using my phone because professional cameras were not allowed backstage. I took a live photo and then changed the live photo setting to long exposure to show motion through the photo. The blurs and motion show the chaos that happens backstage during performances. As a part of the audience, viewers only see the final result of the dance, but they don't take into account what happens backstage, and how ballet may not be as beautiful as they once thought. This photo is an example of the expectation vs. reality of ballet.
