Procrastination is one of the biggest problems that teens face today. Of course, there are many other problems that are talked about all the time, but procrastination is not as often talked about. Do we blame this on the person, or do we blame this on addiction to technology.

Social media draws us in. We will see a notification, or an alert, and that will bring us into a rabbit hole. “One more video.” “Five more minutes.” Well, one more video, or five more minutes turns into thirty videos, or an hour.

Perhaps technology is too advanced for us. The algorithm that draws us in, and keeps us there. In today’s world, we think of addiction as drugs, alcohol, or nicotine, but we never think of what technology can do to us. So, yes, technology is helpful in advancing our world, but it can also break us down as much as it builds us up.
