This photo was taken in my bedroom in the later hours of the night. It is meant to look vaguely
eerie and disheartening. My entry was created to show the negative effects of innovation and
technology. We praise modern day creations for making our lives easier, but we forget how it can
make them worse as well.

The focus of the picture is an iPad, which looks bold and dark, matching the dreary background. Scattered around the iPad are items such as candy wrappers and energy drinks, which symbolize how we often let the innovations of our lives control us. Hidden on the side lies a red alarm clock, moved from view, as to state that time no longer takes priority in our lives when we allow ourselves to immerse ourselves into the digital world. There are 24 hours in a day, but when we treat time as an illusion, the digital metaverse creates infinite hours for us.
