My bother is one of the most creative and curious people I know, constantly thinking of ways to innovate and improve the world around us. Ever since he was young he would build robots out of cereal boxes and tell my family about all of his "inventions" that he wanted to make, becoming disappointed to find out that many of them already existed.

He recorded his ideas in this journal that my mom gave him when he was young that reminded him to "keep dreaming" regardless of the criticism he received from other people. As he leaves for college this year to study environmental sciences, I am certain that he has the potential to make a change, something my mom saw from a young age. Maybe one of the greatest innovations was not the computer or internet, but rather the paper and pen that allowed people to imagine them.
