When teaching students about technology I like to include what came before our current technology with our students. I have two manual typewriters in the classroom and the students enjoy looking at them and seeing how they work. Many have never seen a typewriter before. Even with the many innovations in technology at their fingertips, they are amazed that the mechanics of these typewriters. They are truly amazed when they find out that the typewriter is over 90 years old.
