Photo taken at Nojoqui Fall Park in Santa Barbra, CA. It relates to this year’s theme (Adventure) because my little sister decided to run around the forest with her eyes closed and hands spread out. We were in an unknown area and still she let curiosity overcome her fear.

I close my eyes as I run about
I feel one with the breeze
I feel the sunlight shine down on me
As leaves hit the ground, they crunch below my feet
I finally understand how birds feel all the time
I feel unexplainably free
I wonder why we don’t often explore
But this time, I didn’t let fear get the best of me
