The photo was taken at Zion National Park, Utah. It was taken after nearly a 3 hour climb to the summit of Angels Landing. Once at the top, you are standing at 5790 ft of elevation, and you are able to a see a 360 degree view of the rest of Zion Canyon. The photo relates to this year's theme, phenomena, because it's quite amazing how these things just form out of the ordinary. Not only can you see the canyon, you have the ability to climb the mountain that is very phenomenal.
