"Innovation" is the development of new ideas and products that impact and change the life of people in many ways. Cable cars were first introduced in San Francisco to replace horse-drawn carriages, which were not suited to navigate the hilly landscape of San Francisco. Cable car lines once covered the entirety of the city and provided a newer and easier mode of transport. However, as transportation continued to develop, there were newer and cheaper ways, such as buses and cars, that slowly replaced cable cars over the years.

In the modern day, cable cars are mainly for tourists and there are only a couple of lines remaining. The cable car reflected by the side mirror of the car reveals how we drive past the history of innovation every day. Even cars are continually developed, leading to electric cars and even the next innovative goal of self-driving cars. There is an endless cycle of innovation in tempo with the ever-changing world.
