Description:
Since the beginning of mankind, human beings have looked to the sky to see what is beyond out there. Nowadays the sky is the new frontier. On the beach outside looking up at the sky we can see how much time has passed since the first days of flight. Sometimes there are more things to experience than just what is on a computer screen, and this excellent performance over the beach clearly shows. The power of 70,000 pounds of thrust coming from the engine rattles you right to the bone. You can really feel the power of these engineering marvels.

In this photo, you will see a United States Air Force F-22 raptor deploying countermeasures (Flares) over the beach. These flares are used against infrared-guided weapons or in short-term heat-seeking. From the Wright Flyer to this is a pretty big leap. The Wright Flyer went at a speed of 24 mph. This aircraft can reach speeds of up to Mach 2.25 or 1726 miles per hour, a true example of how far innovations have come over the past decade.
